52 Books in 52 Weeks

20140116_172904_Richtone(HDR)Back in my post 2013/2014 New Year euphoria, I came across several articles and social media posts on the 52 books in 52 weeks challenge and thought “I’m a book lover! I must/can/should do this!”. A quick Google later I came across a set rules here, which I intend to follow as much as possible. If you end up wanting to read the books on this list, please use the Amazon affiliate links after the author’s name. It would support me and allow me to buy the occasional book for my Kindle.

In short:

  • Read whatever you want.
  • Read them all between Jan 1st and Dec 31 (Try not to read at the party).
  • Any format works incl. paper, plastic, metal, stone, audiobooks and brainwave beaming.
  • Complete them within a year (do them all in one week is fine, except try not to die).

Need a few tips to get you going?

  • Always try to read several books at the same time (not simultaneously)
  • Keep a book with you at all times (also a great defensive tool)
  • It’s OK to give up on a book (even classics can be a slog)
  • Read anything you want classics/contemporary/fact/fiction/comic books/etc)
  • Go to the reddit/r/52book for inspiration
  • And have fun!
